It can be said that there is a growing drug epidemic in Indiana considering that it is currently the nation’s top meth-producing state. For this reason, Wendy McNamara believes in new laws to stem the tide of addiction and assure that the worst drug dealers are kept behind bars. She also believes in placing restrictions on criminals’ access to pseudoephedrine (PSE), a key ingredient in meth.
It can definitely be concluded that over the past six years, Wendy has played a major role in protecting our citizens from drug abuse. For example, she has authored legislation to create the statewide searchable database for properties contaminated by meth production. She also serves on the Governor’s Task Force for Drug Prevention, Treatment, and Addiction. She will continue to advocate for our community to work with local groups in order to curb alcohol and drug abuse.
Wendy has strong faith that Indiana will soon stop this drug crisis, especially in southwestern Indiana.
