Wendy McNamara is a strong advocate for improving roads in southwestern Indiana. Because Indiana is the Crossroads of America, our roads and bridges help to drive the economy and support jobs for our state.
For this reason, she strongly believes that our government needs to work to ensure that we maintain our roads and bridges now while taking strong steps towards a long-term solution to help preserve and improve Indiana’s infrastructure.
She has intensely pursued efforts to complete I-69 to Indianapolis.
She has supported legislation that proved $328 million in new revenue to INDOT to meet preservation and maintenance needs through half of fiscal year 2018 while also providing $186 million in upfront cash to the Local Road and Bridge Matching Grant Account.
She has contacted INDOT to include a study of Hwy 62 (Lloyd Expressway) from University of Southern Indiana to Highway 41 that was originally set to include only from St. Joe to Hwy 41.
Wendy recognizes there is still much to be done in preserving, constructing, and resurfacing exiting roads and will remain vigilant in requesting special attention to our community.
